Vijapur Jain temples
Cluster of Jain derasars in the taluka town, historically linked to Buddhisagarsuri
Mansa town temples
Taluka headquarters with local shrines en route to Mahudi
Gandhinagar (Akshardham area)
State capital with the vast Swaminarayan Akshardham complex
Mahudi pairs naturally with other stops in the Gandhinagar-Sabarkantha belt. Mansa, the taluka town about 14 to 15 km away, sits on the route in and has its own local shrines. Vijapur, roughly 15 to 20 km off, holds a cluster of Jain derasars and carries a historical connection to Buddhisagarsuri, the monk behind Mahudi, making it a fitting extension for pilgrims interested in his lineage.
If you are building a broader Gujarat itinerary, Gandhinagar is about 32 to 35 km away and anchors the region with the enormous Swaminarayan Akshardham complex, a very different but rewarding stop. Ahmedabad, around 65 km out, opens up the full spread of the old city's temples and heritage. Distances are approximate; confirm routing locally, as the smaller village roads can be slow.
