Tulja Bhavani keeps a long day. The gates open before dawn, at roughly 5:00 AM, for the Charak Puja that ceremonially wakes the goddess, and general line darshan then runs through the day until about 9:00 PM, when the Shej aarti puts her to rest. Between those bookends the line pauses briefly for the morning abhishek, the midday naivedya and the evening aarti, so the smoothest darshan is usually mid-morning after the abhishek or in the late afternoon lull before the evening rush.
What makes Tuljapur unlike most temples is the ritual sleep of the goddess. Because the idol is movable, she is periodically laid to rest (the Nidra periods) and later woken, and during those days the darshan pattern and the idol's placement change. Around Navratri the shrine effectively runs day and night, and waits of several hours are normal. Because the clock genuinely shifts with the lunar calendar, treat any published time as indicative and confirm the day's schedule with the Shri Tuljabhavani Temple Trust before you commit to a slot.
