The honest truth of reaching Banke Bihari is that the final approach is always on foot through a tight bazaar lane, and no car, taxi or even e-rickshaw gets you to the door. Aim your transport at outer Vrindavan and accept a short walk through the galiyara at the end.
For trains, Mathura Junction at about 12 km is the workhorse, sitting on the main Delhi to Agra and Mumbai line with plentiful services; from there an auto or shared tempo brings you into Vrindavan.
