The honest way to think about reaching Bhalka is that you do not, really, go to Bhalka. You go to Somnath and step over to Bhalka, because the two are 4 km apart on the same Prabhas Patan-Veraval road. Autos, shared jeeps and hotel cabs run this stretch constantly, and a one-way auto is cheap. If you have hired a car for the Somnath circuit, Bhalka, Triveni Sangam and Dehotsarg (where Krishna was cremated) can be strung together in a single half-day loop.
Getting to the region is the longer leg. Trains terminate at Somnath station (about 5 km) and the busier Veraval Junction (about 7 to 10 km), which has connections to Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Junagadh and beyond. Flying in is the weak link: Diu airport (roughly 63 to 80 km) is the nearest with any service, the Keshod airstrip is closer at around 52 km but barely used, and most air travellers actually land at Rajkot (about 190 km) or even Ahmedabad and drive down. Once you are in Veraval or Somnath, reaching Bhalka is trivial; the effort is all in getting to this corner of Saurashtra in the first place.
