Bhalka's greatest asset is its neighbours. Somnath, the first Jyotirlinga, is only 4 km away on the sea, and no visit to this coast is complete without it; the pairing of Krishna's departure with Shiva's eternal shrine is the spine of the whole Prabhas Patan pilgrimage. Within the same short radius lie Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Hiran, Kapila and Saraswati where pilgrims perform ancestral rites, and Dehotsarg, the spot linked to Krishna's cremation, making Bhalka one node in a tightly clustered Krishna-Shiva circuit you can complete in a morning.
Widen the compass and the pairings get grander. Girnar, roughly 90 km at Junagadh, rewards the fit with thousands of stone steps to hilltop Jain and Dattatreya shrines. Farther out, about 230 km up the Saurashtra coast, sits Dwarka, Krishna's own kingdom-city and a Char Dham seat, with the Nageshwar Jyotirlinga alongside it. Visited in sequence, Dwarka and Bhalka become bookends of a single life, the city where Krishna reigned and the tree beneath which he chose to leave the world.
