The timing picture at Koyla Dungar is really two schedules in one. The working temple at the foot of the hill, raised by the merchant Jagdu Shah, is where regular darshan and worship happen, and it holds the dependable morning-to-evening hours. The original shrine at the summit is open to anyone who climbs during daylight, but because no resident priest performs the daily cycle there, it has no fixed puja clock of its own.

Published hours disagree. Travel listings variously give 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and a quiet midday lull is common at rural Saurashtra temples when the priest and attendants break. Plan your climb for the cooler early morning or late afternoon rather than the noon heat, and give yourself daylight for the descent.

During Navratri the whole rhythm changes: the shrine effectively runs long into the night for the mela, with continuous streams of devotees. Outside festival days, arrive by mid-morning to comfortably fit both the hilltop climb and darshan at the foot temple before any midday pause.
