Stambheshwar Mahadev Temple, Kavi Kamboi: Where to Stay

Options at Kavi Kamboi itself are basic. The Shree Stambheshwar Mahadev temple trust runs simple non-AC twin-bed rooms roughly 3 km from the shore with hot water and CCTV, useful if you want to catch an early low tide. Beyond that, most pilgrims base themselves in Bharuch (approx 20 km) or the Jambusar town area, where standard hotels and lodges are available, and make the temple a day trip. Food near the shrine is limited, so eat before you come or carry provisions.

Accommodation at Kavi Kamboi is deliberately spartan, in keeping with a shrine that is really a day-pilgrimage destination. The Shree Stambheshwar Mahadev temple trust offers simple non-AC twin-bed rooms roughly 3 km back from the shore, with hot water and CCTV; these are the closest beds to the sea and useful if you want to be positioned for an early-morning low tide.

Most visitors, though, prefer to stay in Bharuch, around 20 km away, where you get a normal range of hotels and lodges, restaurants and onward transport, and then drive down for the darshan window. The Jambusar town area is another fallback closer in. Wherever you sleep, plan your meals around the trip: there is no prasad counter and food options right at the temple are thin, so carry water and something to eat, especially if your tide window falls awkwardly.
