Virpur Jalaram Bapa Temple: Aarti & Puja Schedule

Virpur Jalaram Bapa: Aarti & Puja ScheduleAarti times are drawn from temple-listing sources and shift on festival days.
  • Morning (mangala/prabhat) aarti as the shrine opens for darshanapprox 7:30 AM
  • Mid-morning aartiapprox 9:00 AM
  • Free prasad (khichdi and kadhi) distribution begins in the bhojanalayaaround 12:00 noon
  • Evening (sandhya) aartiapprox 7:30 PM
  • Second free prasad distribution, subject to availabilityaround 8:00 PM

The devotional heartbeat of Virpur is not an elaborate paid puja calendar but a small set of daily aartis wrapped around the free kitchen. Expect aarti at roughly 7:30 AM as the shrine opens, again around 9:00 AM, and a sandhya aarti near 7:30 PM. There is no VIP archana ticket to buy, in keeping with the no-money ethos.

What truly defines the ritual day is Annadaan, the feeding of every visitor. Khichdi and kadhi are cooked and served twice, around noon and again in the evening, to anyone who arrives, pilgrim or passer-by, without charge or means test. This is the living continuation of Jalaram Bapa's Sadavrat, the perpetual alms-house he began with his guru's blessing. Eating the prasad here is understood less as receiving food and more as taking part in the vow that the temple exists to keep, which is why the kitchen, not a donation counter, is the emotional centre of the complex.
