AirLal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, Babatpurapprox 26 km northwestPrepaid taxi or app cab; allow 60 to 90 minutes through city traffic.
TrainBanaras station (formerly Manduadih)approx 5 kmClosest major railhead to the temple; auto or cab from here is short.
TrainVaranasi Junction (Cantt)approx 7 kmThe main long-distance hub; more trains but a longer, busier drive.
RoadFrom central Varanasi / Godowliaapprox 4 to 6 kmAuto-rickshaw, e-rickshaw, or cab; walk the final lane to the gate.

The temple's location works in a visitor's favour. It sits in south Varanasi in the Sankat Mochan and Assi neighbourhood, near Banaras Hindu University, rather than deep in the tangled old-city lanes around the ghats. That means a cab or auto can get you far closer to the gate than it can to Kashi Vishwanath.

By train, aim for Banaras station (the renamed Manduadih), which at roughly 5 km is the nearest big railhead, or Varanasi Junction (Cantt) at about 7 km, which has the widest choice of long-distance services. From either, an auto-rickshaw or app cab is a short, cheap hop. Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at Babatpur, about 26 km to the northwest, is the flying option; budget 60 to 90 minutes by road because Varanasi traffic is unpredictable.

Within the city, e-rickshaws and autos are the practical last-mile choice. Have the driver drop you at the Sankat Mochan lane and walk the final stretch to the gate, where the shoe stand and locker counter are. Distances quoted here are approx and vary with your starting point and the route the driver takes.
