Vindhyavasini Devi Temple, Vindhyachal: Nearby Temples & Tirths

Vindhyavasini Devi: Nearby Temples & TirthsVindhyavasini Devi sits within reach of Kashi Vishwanath, Varanasi, Sankat Mochan Hanuman, Varanasi, Kaal Bhairav, Varanasi, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

The most rewarding nearby circuit is not a distant temple at all but the local Trikon Parikrama itself, the triangular walk linking Vindhyavasini with Kali Khoh (the Kali temple set in a rock cleft about 6 km away) and Ashtabhuja (the eight-armed goddess on the hill about 8 km away). Many pilgrims treat this loop as the real pilgrimage, completing all three forms of the goddess in one continuous parikrama, often barefoot.

Beyond Vindhyachal, the gravitational pull is towards Varanasi, about 65 km away, where a cluster of major temples makes an easy extension. Kashi Vishwanath, the Shiva Jyotirlinga on the Ganga ghats, is the classic pairing with a Shakti darshan. Close to it sit Sankat Mochan, the Hanuman temple founded in the Tulsidas tradition, and Kaal Bhairav, the fierce guardian of Kashi whom devotees traditionally salute alongside the goddess. A common two-day plan is Vindhyachal and its parikrama on one day, then Varanasi's temples and ghats on the next.
