Vindhyavasini Devi Temple, Vindhyachal: Timings & Darshan Hours

Vindhyachal keeps unusually long hours for a hill Shakti temple. On ordinary days the sanctum opens for Mangala Aarti around 4:00 AM and holds near-continuous darshan through the day into the late night, closing only for short stretches while the goddess is bathed, dressed and offered bhog. There is no long midday shutdown of the kind you find at many South Indian temples, but the doors do shut briefly at each of the four main aarti points, so timing your entry between them saves waiting.

During Navratri the clock effectively dissolves. The temple opens pre-dawn, often by 2:00 to 3:00 AM, and darshan becomes an almost 24-hour managed queue that snakes through barricaded lanes. Because the administration adjusts hours year to year and does not publish a fixed official timetable, treat every time on this page as approximate. The safest move is to reach the temple early morning on a normal day, or to check the current slot arrangement with the temple committee or your lodge before setting out.
