Akshardham is a BAPS mandir, so its daily worship is centred and quiet rather than sprawling across many puja slots. The two anchors are the morning aarti, generally around 10 AM, and the evening (sandhya) aarti around 6 PM, sung before the gold-leafed Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the flanking shrines of Sita-Ram, Radha-Krishna and Shiv-Parvati. These times drift a little with the season and are announced inside, so treat them as approximate and confirm at the gate rather than planning to the minute.
The devotional ritual most visitors take part in is the Neelkanth Abhishek at the Narayan Sarovar, where you can offer water over the murti of Neelkanth Varni, the teenage yogi form of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, as a prayer for wellbeing. It runs through opening hours and can be sponsored at the counter. Note that the show many people call an aarti is actually the separate Sahaj Anand water show after dark, a 24-minute narrative of light, fire, lasers and fountains staged in the Yagnapurush Kund stepwell, which is a cultural performance rather than a temple ritual.
