Time your visit to Delhi's cool season, October through March, when the exposed sandstone courtyards are comfortable to walk and evenings are crisp for the water show. Summer months from April to June are punishingly hot on the open plaza, and the monsoon can disrupt the outdoor show, so the winter window is the clear favourite. Any clear evening works for the fountains, but the temple reaches its peak twice a year.
