The Chunval plain is hot and exposed for much of the year, so the comfortable travel window runs October to March. Within that, the temple's calendar peaks twice: Chaitra Navratri in spring (March-April) and the grander Ashwin or Sharad Navratri in autumn (September-October), when Becharaji hosts a full Navratri Mahotsav with garba, folk performance and continuous worship.
Beyond the Navratris, the monthly Purnima or full-moon day is the single most important recurring occasion here; devotees specifically time visits to Bahuchar Mata on Purnima, and footfall climbs accordingly. Dussehra and Diwali, following the autumn Navratri, bring their own special decoration and worship.
If you want the festival intensity, come during a Navratri and accept the crowds. If you want an unhurried darshan, pick a weekday morning in the cooler months and avoid Purnima, when even an ordinary day can draw long queues.
