Bahucharaji Temple (Bahuchar Mata, Becharaji): Nearby Temples & Tirths

Bahucharaji: Nearby Temples & TirthsBahucharaji sits within reach of Modhera Sun Temple, Ambaji, Pavagadh Mahakali, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

Bahucharaji anchors a genuinely rich corner of north Gujarat. The obvious pairing is the Modhera Sun Temple, about 25 km away, an 11th-century Solanki masterpiece with its stepped tank and carved assembly hall, easily folded into the same day as your darshan.

For those tracing the Shakti Peeths, Bahuchar Mata is one of only three in Gujarat. The other two are Ambaji, roughly 150 km north in the Aravalli foothills near the Rajasthan border, and Mahakali atop Pavagadh hill near Champaner, about 190 km away and reached by a long stair or a ropeway. Completing all three is a classic Gujarat pilgrimage circuit, though each is a separate journey rather than a day trip.

Closer at hand, the Mehsana region also offers the Simandhar Swami Jain temple and reservoirs such as Thol and Dharoi, so a two-day base at Becharaji or Mehsana can combine temple darshan with the area's monuments and lakes.
