Dwarkadhish Temple (Jagat Mandir), Dwarka: Nearby Temples & Tirths

Dwarkadhish: Nearby Temples & TirthsDwarkadhish sits within reach of Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Somnath Temple, Koteshwar and Narayan Sarovar, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

Dwarka anchors a tight cluster of Krishna and Shiva sites that most pilgrims cover over a day or two. Closest is the Rukmini Devi temple a couple of kilometres out, dedicated to Krishna's queen, whose separate location carries its own legend. About 17 km away stands Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve supreme Shiva shrines, easily spotted by its towering seated Shiva statue and usually combined with a trip to Bet Dwarka island off Okha.

For those extending the journey, the Saurashtra coast lines up a natural temple circuit. Somnath, the first of the Jyotirlingas, lies roughly 230 km south and pairs famously with Dwarka as the two great Krishna-and-Shiva poles of the peninsula; the nearby Bhalka Tirth marks where Krishna is believed to have left the earth. Far to the northwest, at the lonely edge of Kutch, Koteshwar and the sacred Narayan Sarovar lake reward pilgrims willing to make the longer drive.
