The temple keeps a traditional twice-daily aarti rhythm, morning and evening, with the two principal aartis around 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Between them, priests perform bhog and routine puja at the linga; abhishek with water and milk is a common offering, and the staff will guide you on when and how you may approach the swayambhu linga.
Beyond the daily cycle, the standout ritual moment is on the eleventh day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra, when a palanquin procession carries the deity to mark the anniversary of Hatkeshwar's manifestation. If you can time a visit to a Shravan Monday, the aarti is folded into a much larger fair, and Gujarat Tourism has staged an evening of devotional music here that turns the ordinary sandhya aarti into a communal event.
