How to reach Vadtal Swaminarayan Temple
Vadtal sits roughly midway between Anand and Nadiad in the Charotar belt of central Gujarat, well connected by road and with its own small railway halt built specifically for pilgrims in 1929.

Dress code & temple rules
Dress modestly and traditionally: legs and shoulders covered. Avoid shorts, short skirts and sleeveless or transparent clothing. Many pilgrims wear ethnic Indian dress.
Remove footwear before entering the temple precinct; use the free footwear counters near the gate.
Photography and videography are not allowed inside the inner shrine. Ask staff before shooting anywhere in the complex.
Maintain silence and queue discipline in the sanctum, especially during aarti and on Purnima crowd days.
Leather items such as belts, bags and wallets are best left behind or kept discreet, in keeping with the vaishnav sampradaya's customs.
Prasad is offered to devotees; carry it home respectfully. Do not bring outside food or tobacco into the shrine area.

Best time to visit & festivals
October to March is the most comfortable window for weather, and the two annual Samaiya melas on the full-moon days are when Vadtal comes fully alive. Summers (April to June) are hot and dry on the Charotar plain, though Chaitra Purnima still packs the town.
