Bhimashankar: Timings & Darshan HoursBhimashankar is generally open 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM (see construction note). The official schedule runs 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM with a midday naivedya break around noon and worship blocks at 2:45 to 3:20 PM and 7:30 to 8:00 PM.

The published temple schedule is generous: doors open around 5:00 AM for the first worship, darshan and abhishek run through the morning, and after a short midday naivedya closure the sanctum stays accessible until the shej aarti near 9:30 PM. On a normal day you could arrive mid-morning and still get an unhurried darshan.

The catch, and it is a real one, is the ongoing restoration of the sabhamandap and the entrance stairs. For extended stretches this has cut the practical darshan window to roughly 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM only. Because the restriction has come and gone with the construction phases, the timing you read online may be out of date by the time you travel.

Given a 3.5 to 4 hour drive each way from Pune, treat a phone confirmation as non-negotiable. If you are visiting on a Monday, in Shravan, or on Mahashivratri, add heavy queue time regardless of the posted hours, and start early to clear the steep entrance steps before the crowd thickens.
