The devotional day at Grishneshwar begins in the dark. The Mangal Aarti is performed at 4 AM, before general darshan opens, and a small band of early devotees gathers at the gate for it. The morning then moves through the Jalhari Saghan ritual around 8 AM and the midday Maha Prasad offering at 12 noon, which is also when the sanctum closes for its afternoon rest.
Evening brings the two aartis most visitors plan around: the Sandhya Aarti at 7:30 PM, when the lamps and the small sabha mandap fill with sound, and the concluding Shej Aarti at 10 PM that puts the deity to rest. Abhishek, the ritual bathing of the linga that pilgrims book as seva, runs in two windows, roughly 6 to 11 AM and 1 to 7 PM. All of these times can shift on festival days, so treat them as the working rhythm rather than an unbending clock.
