Grishneshwar is one of the easier Jyotirlingas to reach because it shares its address with a world-famous monument, the Ellora caves. The gateway city is Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the former Aurangabad, about 30 km east. Its airport (IXU) is roughly 29 to 30 km from Verul and its railway station (AWB) about 30 km, and both have taxis waiting. For long-distance trains that do not stop at Aurangabad, Manmad Junction, around 140 km away, is the bigger railhead to route through.
The last leg is short and scenic. From the city, MSRTC buses, shared cabs, and private taxis run to Ellora through the day; the temple stands barely 1.5 km from the caves, so it is a quick hop or even a walk from the caves parking. Many visitors treat the two as a single outing, doing the caves in the morning light and the temple around darshan hours, which makes a hired car or taxi for the day the most flexible option.
