Lingaraja Temple, Bhubaneswar: Nearby Temples & Tirths

Lingaraja: Nearby Temples & TirthsLingaraja sits within reach of Jagannath Temple, Puri, Konark Sun Temple, Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

Lingaraja is the crown of Ekamra Kshetra, the Old Town temple cluster, so the immediate neighbourhood alone is dense with shrines around the Bindu Sagar tank. For a wider pilgrimage, the obvious pairing is Odisha's Golden Triangle: the Jagannath Temple at Puri, about 65 km south, one of the Char Dham and the home of the world-famous Rath Yatra, and the Konark Sun Temple, a similar distance east, the 13th-century stone chariot to Surya that is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Both Puri and Konark are comfortable day trips or, better, an overnight loop from Bhubaneswar, and together they trace Odisha's classic Kalinga temple arc. For Shaiva pilgrims wanting to carry the journey further, Baidyanath Dham at Deoghar, a Jyotirlinga roughly 480 km away in the eastern region, is a meaningful onward destination, though it is a separate multi-day trip rather than a side excursion.
