For general comfort, October to March is the best stretch to visit Jaipur, with cool, dry weather that makes the open darshan hall and the surrounding old-city walking pleasant. The summer months are harsh and the pre-monsoon heat can be draining even in an open pavilion.

For the temple at its most alive, time your visit to the Krishna festivals. Janmashtami, in August or September, is the biggest night of the year, with midnight celebrations, special decoration and enormous crowds. Radhashtami soon after honours Radha at this Radha Govind shrine, while Holi in March brings Braj-style colour and flowers, and the autumn full moons of Sharad Purnima and Kartik Purnima are especially auspicious for darshan. On all of these, come early and expect long, tightly managed queues.
