Prem Mandir stands on the Vrindavan-Mathura road at the edge of Vrindavan town, about 12 km from Mathura and roughly 150 km south of Delhi. The most reliable rail approach is Mathura Junction, a major stop on the Delhi-Agra and Delhi-Mumbai routes, from where autos, taxis and shared tempos run the half-hour to Vrindavan. Vrindavan's own small station sits about 5 km (approx) from the temple but has only limited branch-line services, so most travellers still route through Mathura.
By air, Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (approx 150 km) is the practical gateway, a three-to-four-hour drive down the Yamuna Expressway or NH 44. Agra's Kheria airport is closer at about 70 km but has few flights, and the new Noida International Airport at Jewar, opened in 2026, is worth checking as a northern option as its connectivity grows.
The final approach matters more than the distance. Vrindavan's inner roads are narrow and clogged with pilgrim traffic, especially in the evenings and on weekends. Parking near Prem Mandir fills fast, so many visitors leave cars a little out and take an e-rickshaw or auto to the gate. Give yourself a buffer if you are timing your arrival for the fountain show.
