Vrindavan is built for pilgrims, so lodging ranges from simple dharamshalas and ashram guesthouses to mid-range and a few upscale hotels. Many visitors stay in guesthouses along the Chhatikara road and near Prem Mandir itself, or at the well-known ISKCON Vrindavan guesthouse (MVT) a short distance away. Ashram accommodation run by JKP and other trusts is available for devotees. If Vrindavan is full during festival season, Mathura (about 12 km) has additional hotels and is an easy fallback. Book well ahead for Janmashtami, Radhastami and Holi, when the whole Braj region sells out.

If Vrindavan is fully booked, which happens during Janmashtami, Radhastami and Holi, fall back on Mathura about 12 km away, where there is a wider spread of hotels and easy road access to Vrindavan. Wherever you stay, factor in the evening traffic when timing your run to Prem Mandir for the fountain show.
