The devotional day is bracketed by two big moments. The Mangla aarti at opening, roughly 4:30 to 5:00 AM, wakes the Devi and draws the earliest pilgrims who have climbed in the dark. The Sandhya or evening aarti, generally around 7:00 to 8:00 PM, is the other high point, when lamps and bells fill the hilltop and the lights of towns around Gobind Sagar begin to show below.

Between them the priests offer a midday bhog, and a final shayan aarti precedes the closing of the doors. On festival days these slots shift earlier and stretch longer to accommodate the flow. If catching aarti matters to you, position yourself in the queue well ahead of the slot, because on Ashtami and Navratri mornings the line can back all the way down the steps and you may otherwise reach the sanctum after the ritual has ended.
