Naina Devi keeps long single-session hours rather than the split morning-and-evening darshan of many plains temples. On an ordinary day the sanctum opens in the pre-dawn dark, around 4:30 to 5:00 AM, and stays accessible until roughly 10:00 PM, pausing only briefly for the midday bhog and the cleaning of the sanctum. On Ashtami, through both Navratris and across the Shravan mela, the doors open before dawn and the queue barely stops moving until late at night.
