ModePointDistanceNotes
Nearest railway stationFalna Junctionapprox 35 kmThe usual railhead, on the Ajmer-Mount Abu line with good connections; taxis and jeeps run to Ranakpur in about an hour. Rani station is a shade further at approx 39 km.
Nearest airportMaharana Pratap Airport, Udaipur (Dabok)approx 90 kmNearest airport with regular flights; the Dabok terminal is east of Udaipur, so road time is roughly 2.5 to 3 hours. Distance is approx and route-dependent.
Road from UdaipurUdaipur cityapprox 91 kmThe most popular base; a scenic 2.5 to 3 hour drive north through the Aravalli passes, often paired with Kumbhalgarh Fort on the same route.
Road from JodhpurJodhpur cityapprox 162 kmRoughly 3.5 to 4 hours by road; a common day-trip or overnight halt when travelling the Marwar circuit.
Nearest townSadriapprox 10 kmThe closest municipality for basic supplies, ATMs and onward jeeps; also the base for the Gorwad Panch Tirth Jain shrines.

Ranakpur is deliberately remote, set in a forested valley of the Aravallis rather than on a highway, and that isolation is part of its atmosphere. There is no railway station in the village. The nearest railhead is Falna Junction, about 35 km away on the Ajmer to Mount Abu line, with Rani station a touch further at roughly 39 km. From either, shared jeeps and taxis climb to Ranakpur in about an hour along a road that twists through the hills.

By air, the nearest airport is Maharana Pratap Airport at Dabok, Udaipur, roughly 90 km away; because Dabok lies on the far side of Udaipur, budget 2.5 to 3 hours of road time. Most pilgrims, though, come by car: Udaipur is about 91 km and the most popular base, a beautiful drive north that many combine with the giant Kumbhalgarh Fort nearby. Jodhpur is about 162 km, roughly 3.5 to 4 hours, for those doing the Marwar circuit. The nearest town for supplies, ATMs and onward transport is Sadri, only about 10 km down the hill, which also anchors the wider Gorwad Panch Tirth cluster of Jain shrines.
