Ranakpur Jain Temple: Nearby Temples & Tirths

Ranakpur Jain: Nearby Temples & TirthsRanakpur Jain sits within reach of Dilwara Temples, Mount Abu, Eklingji Temple, Brahma Temple, Pushkar, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

Ranakpur rewards being placed on a larger Rajasthan pilgrimage loop. The most natural pairing is the Dilwara group at Mount Abu, about 90 km away, the other supreme achievement of Svetambara marble carving; seeing both in one trip is a lesson in how far Jain sculptors pushed a single material. Closer to Udaipur, roughly 70 km off, is Eklingji, the Shiva shrine that Mewar's Maharanas hold as their tutelary deity, easy to fold in on the drive back.

Further afield, the rare Brahma Temple at Pushkar sits about 230 km north beside its sacred lake, a worthwhile detour if you are continuing toward Ajmer. Right at Ranakpur's doorstep, do not skip the smaller shrines within and around the complex itself, the Parshvanatha, Neminatha and Surya temples, and the wider Gorwad Panch Tirth cluster based at Sadri, which many Jain pilgrims complete as a set alongside the main Chaumukha temple.
