Getting to Mansa Devi is a two-stage affair: first reach Haridwar, then get up Bilwa Parvat. From the station an auto or e-rickshaw drops you near the Udan Khatola base station off Upper Road, a short hop from Har Ki Pauri.
For the final climb you choose between the cable car and your legs. The ropeway is a roughly five-minute ride over the town rooftops and is the reason many elderly pilgrims can reach the shrine at all; the alternative is a paved trek of about 3 km that gains the hill gradually. Flying in, Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun is about 37 km away, an hour-plus by taxi. By road, Rishikesh (approx 25 km) is the nearest big town and Dehradun (approx 52 km) the nearest city, both well linked by highway bus and taxi.
