Mansa Devi Temple, Haridwar: Timings & Darshan Hours

Mansa Devi: Timings & Darshan HoursMansa Devi is generally open . Timings vary by season and crowd; ropeway hours (approx 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM) are shorter than temple hours, so a late-evening darshan usually means the trek down.

Mansa Devi keeps longer hours than most hill shrines because it sits right above a pilgrimage town that never fully sleeps. In the warmer half of the year the sanctum opens around 5:00 AM and stays accessible until about 9:00 PM, with a midday rest when the priests close the inner doors, roughly noon to 2:00 PM. In winter the day contracts: a 6:00 AM opening, an earlier 8:00 PM close, and the break nudged to about 1:00 to 2:00 PM.

The practical catch is that the ropeway does not run as late as the temple. Udan Khatola cars typically operate from early morning to about 6:00 PM, so a devotee who wants an evening darshan after that either treks up or waits for the next morning. On Navratri days and during Kumbh, published timings are effectively overridden by crowd control, with queues managed in slow-moving batches. Treat all times here as approximate and verify on the day.
