How to reach Kanaka Durga Temple, Vijayawada
The temple sits on a hill inside Vijayawada, so almost every arrival point is within the city itself. You can drive the motorable ghat road all the way up to the hilltop, or park at the foot and climb the stepped footpath that pilgrims have used for centuries.

Dress code & temple rules
Wear modest, traditional attire. Men commonly come in dhoti or trousers with a shirt or kurta; women in saree, half-saree or salwar kameez. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops and very short skirts.
Footwear must be removed before entering; free and paid stands are available at the foot of the steps and near the hilltop entrance.
Leather items (belts, wallets, bags) are best left outside the inner sanctum area.
Photography and mobile phones are restricted inside the main garbhagriha; follow the staff and signage.
Certain sevas such as abhishekam and homams may require you to be in traditional dress (dhoti for men, saree for women); confirm when you book the ticket.
