Salasar Balaji keeps long daily hours rather than a single crisp open-and-shut schedule. In practice the doors open in the pre-dawn dark, roughly around 5:00 AM, for the mangla aarti when the idol is bathed, dressed and shown for the first darshan, and they stay open through the day until roughly 10:00 PM. Through those hours the curtain (pat) is drawn only briefly for the bhog and shayan aartis, so a pilgrim can usually walk in and get darshan at almost any daylight hour.
The rhythm tightens on Tuesdays and Saturdays, Hanuman's own weekdays, when queues swell and the darshan line can take much longer even though the gate hours are the same.
