Dakor's advantage is that it is a pilgrimage town first, so the infrastructure points straight at the temple. Its own railway station on the Anand to Godhra line puts you about 1.4 km from the sanctum, and autos wait outside for the short hop into the bazaar. If you are coming on a mainline train, route via Anand Junction (about 29 km) and take a local connection or road transfer.
By road, Dakor sits neatly between Ahmedabad (approx. 90 km) and Vadodara (approx. 78 km), with Nadiad (approx. 35 km) and Anand (approx. 43 km) even closer. Gujarat State Transport buses and private operators run frequent services, and the ST bus stand is barely over a kilometre from the temple. A hired cab from Ahmedabad takes around two hours on good highway.
Flying in, Vadodara airport is the nearest at roughly 78 km, while Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (approx. 86 to 90 km) is the better bet for long-haul or international arrivals. From either airport, prepaid taxis and app cabs reach Dakor comfortably in a couple of hours.
