Dakor Ranchhodrai Temple (Shree Ranchhodraiji Maharaj Mandir): Nearby Temples & Tirths

Dakor Ranchhodrai: Nearby Temples & TirthsDakor Ranchhodrai sits within reach of Pavagadh Mahakali Temple, Modhera Sun Temple, Dwarkadhish Temple, Dwarka, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

Dakor's central-Gujarat location makes it a good hinge for a wider temple circuit. The closest heavyweight is Pavagadh's Mahakali temple, a Shakti Peeth crowning Pavagadh hill inside the Champaner-Pavagadh archaeological park, roughly 70 km east and reachable as a full day trip with its ropeway to the summit. Pairing a Krishna darshan at Dakor with a Devi darshan at Pavagadh is a popular two-day loop.

For heritage as much as worship, the Modhera Sun Temple lies about 110 km to the northwest, its eleventh-century Solanki architecture and stepped kund among the finest in Gujarat. It is a temple you visit for wonder rather than active puja, and it complements Dakor's living-shrine energy.

The most meaningful thematic link, though, is Dwarka. The whole Dakor legend turns on Krishna leaving Dwarka to live with his devotee Bodana, so devotees who can spare the longer westward journey (around 430 km) often complete the story at the Dwarkadhish temple on the Saurashtra coast. It is a serious drive, but it closes the narrative circle that gives Dakor its name and its idol.
