The devotional day is bookended by two aartis. The Mangal Aarti with Bhog is performed around 4:30 to 5:00 AM as the temple wakes, and the Shayan Aarti around 9:30 to 10:00 PM as the deity is put to rest; these are the two most moving to witness and the hardest to get close to. In between, the midday Madhyanha Bhog and the late-afternoon Sayamkalin Shringar mark the ritual meals and the dressing of the linga.

Unlike some Jyotirlingas, Omkareshwar does not run a paid pre-dawn spectacle aarti like Ujjain's Bhasma Aarti; the draw here is steady, personal darshan and the option of abhishekam. Devotees who want to offer jal (water) or a puja should reach well before the aarti begins, since the sanctum is compact and fills quickly. On festival nights the aartis start late and run long, so plan your evening around them rather than the posted clock.
