Where to stay
Most pilgrims stay in Omkareshwar town near the boat ghat and bridge. Temple-linked accommodation is limited to Shri Ji Vishramalaya (book roughly 15 days ahead), so plan around ashrams and dharamshalas such as Gita Bhavan, plus trust guest houses and budget-to-mid-range hotels. During Shravan, Mahashivratri and fair days, rooms fill fast; book 2 to 4 weeks in advance. Indore, about 77 km away, offers full-service hotels if you prefer to base there and day-trip.
