Karni Mata Temple (Rat Temple), Deshnoke: Nearby Temples & Tirths

Karni Mata: Nearby Temples & TirthsKarni Mata sits within reach of Salasar Balaji, Khatu Shyam Temple, Brahma Temple, Pushkar, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

Karni Mata pairs naturally with the wider Rajasthan pilgrim circuit, though the nearest big shrines are still a few hours away, so plan them as separate days rather than a single loop. The closest is Salasar Balaji in Churu district, roughly 165 km southeast, a hugely popular Hanuman shrine known for its beardless, moustached image of Balaji and its round-the-clock devotional energy.

Further into the Shekhawati belt lies Khatu Shyam, about 230 km away in Sikar district, where devotees throng to worship Shyam Baba, the Kali-yuga form of Barbarika. It is one of the most crowd-drawing temples in the state, especially around its Phalgun fair.

For a change of deity and landscape, Brahma Temple at Pushkar sits about 245 km south near Ajmer, one of the very few temples anywhere dedicated to Lord Brahma and set beside the sacred Pushkar lake. All three are marked approx for distance and are best reached by road via Bikaner. Combining Karni Mata with Bikaner's own Junagarh Fort and havelis makes for a fuller trip if time is short.
