How to reach Tiruchendur Murugan Temple (Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Devasthanam)
Tiruchendur sits on the far south-east coast of Tamil Nadu, about 40 km south-east of Thoothukudi (Tuticorin) and roughly 60 km by road from Tirunelveli. The town has its own railway station and its own small bus stand, so the last mile is genuinely short, but the nearest airport with regular flights is modest, so most long-distance pilgrims route through Madurai or Tirunelveli.

Dress code & temple rules
Traditional attire is expected: men in dhoti/veshti or shirt and trousers, women in saree, half-saree or salwar kameez. Avoid shorts, sleeveless tops and short skirts.
Footwear is removed before entering; leave chappals at the stands outside.
The temple stands on the seashore, so many pilgrims first take a holy dip in the Nazhi Kinaru (a fresh-water well near the sea) and the sea before darshan; carry a change of clothes.
Photography and mobile phones are restricted inside the inner prakaram; follow the posted rules and staff instructions.
