Dilwara is not a destination you reach directly; you reach Mount Abu first, then cover the last 2.5 km. The rail gateway is Abu Road station, about 28 km down the hill on the busy Delhi to Ahmedabad trunk line, so trains are frequent and easy to book. From Abu Road, Rajasthan state buses and shared jeeps grind up the ghat road to the town in under an hour.
By air, Udaipur's Maharana Pratap Airport is the closest at roughly 185 km, about a four hour drive through the Aravallis, while Ahmedabad at approx 220 km offers more flights including international ones. Once in Mount Abu town, the temples are a short shared-taxi, auto or even walkable hop away. Note that the distances quoted here are approx and vary a little by the route your driver takes.
