Dilwara Jain Temples, Mount Abu: Nearby Temples & Tirths

Dilwara: Nearby Temples & TirthsDilwara sits within reach of Ambaji Temple, Ranakpur Jain Temple, Eklingji Temple, so most pilgrims combine them into one trip.

Dilwara pairs naturally with other shrines on either side of the Rajasthan to Gujarat border. The closest major draw is Ambaji, a revered Shakti Peeth about 45 km away just inside Gujarat, an easy add-on for a two-temple day. For those tracing the thread of Jain marble craft, Ranakpur, roughly 165 km off, is the essential companion piece: its Chaumukha Adinath temple with its forest of 1444 carved pillars is the only rival to Dilwara for sheer virtuosity in stone.

Heading toward Udaipur, the ancient Eklingji temple, about 185 km away, is the royal Shiva shrine of the Mewar dynasty and slots neatly into a Mount Abu to Udaipur itinerary. Together these give a pilgrim a genuine spread: Shakti worship at Ambaji, Jain devotion at Ranakpur, and Shaivism at Eklingji, all within a comfortable regional loop.
